Eric Meub, AIA, LEED AP

Eric is a passionate, award winning, design, thought and practice leader. He offers a background of 39 years of architectural experience, 30 of which have been dedicated to master planning, medical planning and design of large, complex healthcare and academic projects. Eric has led design and master-planning for such world renowned Academic Medical Centers as Stanford University, the University of California, MD Anderson Cancer Center, City of Hope, Intermountain Healthcare, Cedars-Sinai, Sutter Health, Kaiser Permanente and other healthcare systems. Eric also excels at the planning and design for local and federal government agencies including the Department of Veteran's Affairs.

Eric brings a passion for the evolving missions of healthcare to clients, delivering value through his understanding of the complexity of the built environment in health facilities. He generates excitement for those involved with healthcare architecture, helping them comprehend the unique issues that unfold within the healthcare setting, and anticipating the profound impact design efforts can have. His responsibilities include merging vision and implementation, connecting healthcare design and planning, and validating design with measurable criteria.

Eric guides clients through an interactive design and planning process that prioritizes visuals over words to develop clear understanding of issues. To lead discovery of ‘real’ issues, he facilitates the ranking of criteria, rather than the traditional ranking of attributes. He combines basic tools—guiding principles, criteria, rankings and matrices—with a graphic ‘wall’ of content, unpacking each criterion to build design consensus one issue at a time.
