Meet Elisa Davies: The Pioneer Spirit Behind HDR’s Executive Leadership

Elisa Davies, HDR’s general counsel, was featured in the February/March 2025 edition of Omaha B2B Magazine. The article highlights Davies' path to HDR and her human-focused leadership style.

In the feature, she shares how her career journey didn’t start with plans to attend law school. Instead, Davies details how she entered college with a theatre and singing scholarship and fell in love with history. Law school wasn’t on the radar for Davies until a professor suggested she go to law school, not to practice law, but to become a better historian. 

Starting at HDR in 2021, Davies says she found a corporate culture that aligned with her values and describes HDR as a culture of “listening first and collaboration." 

As the granddaughter of pioneers and the daughter of entrepreneurs, she credits her family for her pioneer spirit, “I am driven to push boundaries, and I want to do it in a way that’s impactful.”
