Updating a transmission line built 100 years ago is a journey through history. From a custom conductor built a century ago to unique hardware, updating the long span — a 5,010-foot, 161-kV transmission line across the Little Tennessee River — for Brookfield Smoky Mountain Transmission LLC was an interesting, storied experience for our power transmission team.
