HDR is improving the quality of life by providing solutions to our clients. We take pride in our work as we live alongside our accomplishments.
Building strong communities is as important to HDR as creating sound structures and processes. After all, our communities are not only where we work; they're where we live.
The Hoover Dam is one of the United States' engineering wonders; HDR is the prime consultant for the Hoover Support Team that is responsible for creating the Hoover Dam Bypass. Seven HDR offices are supporting the $231-million public works project slated for completion in 2007.
Yet for every Hoover Dam Bypass, thousands of lesser-known but equally important projects are taking place at any given time. Each benefits the community, provides personal satisfaction to the employees working on it, and contributes to HDR's reputation and financial success. "Look for something special in every project, whether it is a simple box culvert or a record span," said Rob Turton, technical director of structures. During Turton's 30-year career he has worked on his share of both. These projects provide valuable training for young professionals.
