(BOSTON - October 6, 2009) - HDR, a leading architectural/engineering/- consulting firm, has named Charles (Charlie) O'Reilly, P.E., director of transportation for the East region, which includes 21 states.
Based in HDR's Boston office, O'Reilly is responsible for overseeing the regional transportation program's
business development, technical services, quality and
production methods.
Prior to joining HDR, O'Reilly held positions of increasing responsibility with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, most recently as assistant general manager for design and construction. In this role, he managed MBTA's infrastructure capital investment program, which accounted for $250 million in annual expenditures and $750 million in ongoing project value.
A licensed professional engineer, O'Reilly has more than 30 years of industry experience. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a master's degree in business administration from Boston University. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
