(KANSAS CITY, Mo. - September 9, 2009) - Kevin Keller, vice president of Rail-Environmental in HDR's Kansas City office, has been elected to serve on the boards of two national organizations.
Keller will serve a one-year term as second vice president of the American Railway Development Association (ARDA). He will then advance to first vice president for a year and then president the following year. Keller also was elected vice president of the Engineering Services Functional Group for the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association (AREMA) for a two-year term.
In addition to the elected positions, Keller will be a member of the board of directors for both organizations.
Keller has 27 years of experience in the supervision and management of environmental and engineering programs in the transportation and railroad sectors and has previously held positions in government, industry and consulting fields. Keller is a frequent instructor for railroad environmental training courses throughout the country and is the lead author of the new Chapter 13 (Environmental) of the AREMA Manual of Railway Engineering.
